Grant applications & RFP responses · Remote

Proposals get scored.
Mine scored.

Grant applications and RFP responses, written against the rubric the funder actually published, in the format they asked for, on the date they set.

The last one

76out of 100 · first submission

Wrote a scored RFP response overnight after a full workday — board meeting at 8pm, delivered next morning, printed and on USB per spec. Scored 76/100 on first submission with incomplete client input. They won the lease.

What gets written

Three documents, one skill.

Grant applications

Foundation and government programmes. Narrative, need statement, workplan, budget justification — answered in the order the reviewer reads them.

RFP & bid responses

Public solicitations, from the compliance matrix through to the past-performance section. Non-responsive bids get thrown out before anyone reads the good part.

Letters of intent

The short pre-proposal that decides whether you are invited to write the long one. Small document, disproportionate consequence.

How it works

Flat fee. Quoted before anything starts.

  • Never a percentage of the award

Contingency fees on grant awards are not permitted by funders, and a reviewer who spots one has a reason to set your application down. Flat fee, every time.

  • Priced per proposal, not per hour

You know the number before the work begins. A deadline is stressful enough without an invoice that moves.

  • You keep the relationship

The funder, the agency and the follow-up stay yours. The writing is the service.

  • Short notice is the normal case

Most of this work arrives late by nature. Say what the deadline is and you get a straight answer about whether it can be made.

Who this is for

The person doing it at 11pm.

Nonprofits

An executive director writing the application after everyone has gone home, because there is nobody else to write it. The work gets done badly not for lack of care but for lack of a person whose job it is.

Small firms bidding public work

Companies that can do the job and lose on the paperwork. Government buyers have budget and a process; the process is a writing problem.

Get started

Send the solicitation and the deadline.

That is enough for a straight answer on whether it can be made and what it costs. If it cannot be made well in the time available, you will be told that instead.
